Can you sue a hotel for burglary because of a faulty door?

Some friends and I were staying at the Hilton in the presidential suite. At about 5 am, we heard the door slam because one of the doors did not shut properly. All of our wallets were stolen and one phone. The police came to take pictures two hours later and the case is being held as a felony burglary. I want to know if the hotel should be accountable for more than lost property. I remind you, we were all sleeping, and unaware of anything else that could have happened. We are all very scared, emotionally and will not be spending one more dollar at the Hilton. For the amount of money we spent, the door closing completely should be the least of our worries.
