Why does the news not show stories about the sorry deadbeat moms out there?

Some dads, like my self, raise our children not because we feel obligated to do so because of the deadbeat moms, but rather out of genuine love and concern for the child. People cry and talk about all these "single moms" and their plight . I do have sympathy for them, but some women are just sorry, they choose drugs, alcohol or whatever over the love of the child and family. Men have hearts and are compionate too. There are just as many if not more deadbeat moms as deadbeat dads. Why is it we never see a movie of the week based on those sorry good for nothing women?
