If America cannot grow up and give these people the right to marry..?

If American cannot grow up and give s as a whole the opportunity to be married in all of the US, then can they not at least give them something exactly legally equivalent to marriage? If their so-called "Christian values" inhibit their ability to vote on issues of HUMANITY, then why are they considered so virtuous?
